Mike and I live about 2 hours from the quaint town of Bedford. Nestled in the mountains is the Omni Bedford Springs Spa Resort. When I was first diagnosed, we decided to leave our worries behind and head to the healing springs in the Bedford Mountains. It’s perfect for every season. Get a massage or hike the trails. In the spring and summer you can hit up the golf course. It’s not only beautiful, but the scent of the award winning spa immediately send you into relaxation mode. WORK IT OUT
Alright- Because you KNOW this is totally my jam I wanted to share some of my favorite workout gear as well as some of my favorite gifts to give and receive. 3. Shoes are basic. Because my workouts are more a cross train style as opposed to running, I have found the flat shoe helps with some of my knee issues. I love the Nike Women’s Free 5.0 TR FIT PRT 4 Training Shoe
4. I received this wonderful fitness toy for my birthday and wanted to share it with you all! It’s a FITBIT and it’s awesome. It monitors your steps, your active minutes, and your sleep patterns. I love that I can set a goal to get in 8,000 steps a day and can check those stats on my phone! It’s an awesome gadget to have! Pretty sure someone I know will be getting this gift under the tree!

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation
is of course an organization very dear to my heart. I know many people give gifts throughout the holidays, but sometimes giving the gift of charity in someone’s honor is more amazing than anything found under the tree.
This foundation helps finacially and emotionally help families and their loved ones who have been diagnosed with blood cancers. This year, our team, One Fit Fighter, raised over $10,000 for this organization. We’ve set our goal high in 2015. We’ve pledged to raise $50,000 to the cause!
