Lord, Like the Israelites, I often feel led the long way only to face more barriers instead of reaching my “destination”. I think about how your people must have felt all those years ago being led by Moses. If they turned back they would face the Pharaoh’s army, but if they moved ahead the sea would certainly drown them. When I feel like my back is against the wall, it’s so easy to PRAY AWAY the hardship instead of trusting you to part the waves and MAKE WAY. Lord I’ve been through enough waves to know you don’t do your greatest work with the “go back”. Your greatest works are always done in the move forward. Lord lead me through it if it means I am closer to you.
