Wings in Honey Sauce

Sunday:  Game Day!  If you are anything like me, you are usually spending Sunday afternoon or evening in front of the TV cheering on your favorite football team. This always seems to be a time that I want to keep picking at food that is set out or run to the fridge during commercials.  So, I have decided to clean up some of my favorite recipes starting with Mike’s all time favorite game time snack:  wings!

3 pounds chicken wings
2 cups honey
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 TBL tomato paste
1 TBL canola oil
Seasame Seeds

Rinse chicken and pat dry.  Cut off and discard wing tips.  Cut each wing at the joint to make two sections.  Place wings on a broiler pan.  Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 20 minutes.  (10 minutes each side).  Transfer chicken to slow cooker.  Combine remaining ingredients for the sauce and pour over the chicken.  Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2- 2.5 hours.

I served over brown rice and garnished with the sesame seeds!
