Sweet sentiments sent that rattled me…at first…🥰🤦🏽‍♀️

In fact every time I post about topics that make me uncomfortable, I see my numbers go ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ which actually is a good thing!!!

Here’s why.🐝
1️⃣ It’s become normal to cancel anything we don’t agree with.
2️⃣ If a topic makes us uncomfortable, instead of owning the discomfort, we’d rather pretend it doesn’t exist.
3️⃣ Speaking our opinions has become taboo, especially when they aren’t widely accepted.

I mean, think about it- if you don’t like an episode of The Office or of Friends or (fill in the blank with GOAT tv series here) - it doesn’t mean the whole series should be cancelled right?

Listen up. Just because someone has unfollowed, does not..I repeat DOES NOT mean you should stop posting.

Instead, maybe you’re onto something.
When I see these types of responses come through, I go back to these questions to clarify if my message was meaningful?

🐝 Did I have a purpose for the post? Did I come from a place of serving?
🐝Was there a truth in the content (although it was maybe uncomfortable) that gave people help, hope, or healing?
🐝Am I being judged as a creator for the opinion formed from my own life experiences?
🐝Is the content relevant to my IDEAL audience?

🚨Niche down means you’ve leveled up, friend. 🚨

👊🏻But we cannot cancel our “programming,” our goals, or our business because someone didn’t like an episode.

👊🏻Creators- your content & your experiences are meant to serve your audience and speak from a place of personal experience/expertise.
If they select to unfollow- remember- they may not be in a place to be served by you.

Don’t cancel your series because someone didn’t like an episode.
You matter too much for that.

Or when everything goes all kinds of cattywampus…😭

Here are a few tested, tried and true tips from yours truly!🫣

1️⃣ Remind yourself that stress and tension are growth trying to take place.
2️⃣Growth leads to joy, stagnation does not.
3️⃣Complacency doesn’t honor God. Don’t fall back and retreat, lean in.

Listen the work of an entrepreneur isn’t meant to be a walk in the park…it’s a 🎢 and as there’s ups, there’s downs. But you don’t stay down if you lean in ans enoy the ride.
