Loaded Nachos: HEALTHY!

nacho dip, taco dip, healthy loaded nachos, clean bar recipesI got a lot if inquiries about my newest post on Facebook about the loaded nachos I posted.  What better time to blog a recipe about a bar food favorite than the eve of the beloved holiday St. Patrick's Day!

Look.  I am human and totally love bar food.  Greasy, calorie heavy,  and deliciously sinful, but I hate the way I feel after I eat it.  Bloated.  Tired.  Tummy ache like no other.

Instead of eating that... I cleaned it up!  Here's how I did it!

1 LB of cooked ground turkey (browned, drained, and spiced with your favorite Mexican flavors.  We used a packet of low sodium taco seasoning)
1/4 cup Mexican cheese
1/2cup black beans, drained
1/2cup salsa
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
online accountability, beachbody challenge, MWOY campaign, Katy ursta1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
Avocado (ripe)

After preparing the ground turkey,  add diced onion to the meat.  Cook for about 2 minutes on low.
Place meat in a 8 inch glass pie place.

Saute ground turkey with a small, diced onion.

Layer with cheese, heated black beans,  salsa, Greek yogurt, lettuce and avocado.

*You can serve this with your favorite nacho chips, a toasted pita shell, or forgo the chips and use a spoon for a healthier version!
